Friends, stars and color “sunrise”

A whole exciting week of the #THE100DAYWELLNESSCANVAS.

A whole week committed to the 100 day Wellness Canvas challenge is behind, leaving me with a list of inspirational things to cheer me up. I realized that despite the problems and stress in our daily grind, there is always a positive perspective. It is there waiting for you. Sometimes you just have to make an effort to make it happen by giving your body and soul what they need. And trust me – deep inside you really know what you need. Just be yourself and every day do something that makes you smile.

The second week of #the100dayWellnessCanvas experiment leads me to several good ideas of things to do that lift the mood and turn around a hellish day at work. Here they are:

Bring the summer in your breakfast


It is Monday. You are dreaming of a day at the beach…In stead of ocean there is a bunch of work that is waiting for you. Don’t give away! Try to bring the summer mood in your breakfast. Have something light, fresh and healthy and decorate it with some summer motives.

Spend time with your friends


Call your friends and meet them after work. You will feel much better afterwards.

Do more of what makes you feel awesome


Treat yourself with something that makes you feel nice – a massage, a new haircut, wearing clothes that you are keeping for some special occasion.

Go stargazing


If the weather is clear call some friends, go somewhere outside the city where it is dark enough, lay in the grass and look up at the stars. You will have fun, you will relax and probably you will enjoy great conversation on different existential topics (stargazing has the power to trigger interesting conversations).

Balance with some new challenge


Try something new – some new sport that challenges you to focus on the present moment and makes you forget your daily worries. You love yoga?  Have you ever tried to do yoga on a paddle board? I hadn’t 🙂

Enjoy the sunrise


How often do you look at the sunset? And how often do you wake up early enough to see the sunrise? Try to start your day in the red-orange-yellow colours of the sky.

Pick up fruits for your breakfast


If you can’t find some fresh organic fruits, veggies or herbs to pick up in your area, then just grow some in your yard or on your balcony.

Spend a weekend in the wilderness


Finally, try to spend the weekend outside the city. Far away from your worries. Enjoy nature sounds, fresh air and relax.

Physical Activity + Nature = Adventure

First weekend of #THE100DAYWELLNESSCANVAS.

Staying whole week long in the office got me craving natural sun light and true movement. So, I decided to listen to my body and devoted the weekend to its needs 🙂

Day 4

Kayaking for a first time in a lake turned out to be a whole adventure. Sunlight, wind, a yellow kayak in blue waters – amazing!


Having a walk in search of the best sunset view was the great end of the day.


After having a day devoted to the muscles of the upper part of the body, we decided to do something for our legs 😀 Let them walk on the steep mountain hills in search of the best views and our physical limit!

Keep calm, stop, relax and enjoy the beautiful landscape. Don’t forget to be well equipped when going on a trek. Always take food and water with you, as well as windproof jacket (at least wind proof because at elevation the weather can turn and the temperature drops very quickly).


Now sitting in the office with aching muscles reminding of the great weekend is not such a torture.

Doing some exercise outdoors has a lot of benefits for your health:

  • Strengthen your bones and muscles.
  • Makes you feel more energetic.
  • It increases feelings of happiness and self-worth.
  • Leads to better mood, better self-esteem.
  • Improve your sleep.
  • Reduce depression.
  • Makes you focus on the present moment.

Use any opportunity to spend your time outside. Your body will be grateful!
